You Too Can Get Paid to Blog with Smorty, Today!

Here are some reader suggested articles:

Maki at Doshdosh.com continues to crank out the hits. In his most recent posting, A Definitive List of Paid Blogging Sites: Ways to Make Money Online, Maki created an exhaustive list of pay for review sites. These sites, for the most part, pay the blogger a set amount to create a post on their blog about a certain product or service. The advertiser who ordered the post then reviews the article and either accepts and pays the blogger, or does not accept the posting and the blogger gets nothing. These services, when you get down to the basics, allow you to get paid for blogging.

As I have written before, one of the general failings in these type of sites is that newer bloggers do not have the traffic required to the better paying opportunities, much less having their blogs accepted due to low traffic. An exception to this is smorty.com. Smorty is a service that helps a company to advertise on blogs. In exchange, Smorty pays the bloggers a fee for an acceptable post.

After reading Maki’s post I, of course, signed up for all of those sites that I didn’t already belong to. Smorty was the only site that had me up and getting paid to blog in less than 2 hours. That includes submitting the request, the blog being approved, and having actual opportunities to act upon.

If you are interested in an opportunity to blog for money today, stop by smorty.com and see what they have to offer.

I’ve not had a lot of opps from Smorty, but they do pay up, which is always reassuring….

I noticed that their rules don’t state you have to provide disclosure. At the bottom of your post you disclose the sponsored nature of the post. Was this post itself a Smorty paid post? It makes sense that they would use their own service to increase their exposure and business. I believe that disclosure and transparency are vital to a blogger’s reputation and it has the added side effect of sending much more highly qualified and convertible traffic to the sponsor/advertiser. I’m glad to see you posted the disclosure notice, I respect that.

I agree, it’s a very good idea for Smorty to pay for advertising. I think that, along with giving newer blogs a chance, will help them get the word of mouth out about their opportunities.

Its difficult for people to believe this online, but anyone who actually knows me offline will tell you that I’m about as honest as Honest Abe. Must be those years of Sunday School and Church. If I like something, I’ll tell you I like it. If I don’t like it, more that likely you won’t hear a word about it from me UNLESS I REALLY don’t like it, then I’ll shout from roof tops.

I’m all for helping other bloggers get opportunity to expand their business. Smorty does that. I would have posted about it anyway even if they didn’t offer to sponsor a post.
