The Masked Dispatcher Alpha Goes Live!

I’ve been working on my new project in my spare time, weekends, late at night, etc. It’s no where near what I want it to be, but I have enough up to try and get some feedback.
The Masked Dispatcher, your gateway to digital music downloads is live!
The site is purely a service oriented venture; I know that when I’m looking for stuff on iTunes, the program is slow and not very user friendly, so I asked the question that all great businesses start with:
Is there a better way?
My goal is to be continually adding songs to the site. Right now all additions are being done manually because I want to have the following in each post:
- a sample of the song (or a video sample)
- background on the artist
I would like to eventually automate the entire process, but that would require someone with mad skills in coding, not me.
Please check out the Masked Dispatcher and let me know what you think. Seriously, let me have it. I need to know what’s wrong so I can fix it. I’m using the same wordpress theme as Desty Online because of the featured articles but I would like to eventually get a customized theme.

I think you’ve organised it pretty well :). Three things I would change:
1> Colour Scheme - The current one feels very old/antique like… I would change them to warmer colours. And your probably working on it, but change the hdr graphics.
2> Sidebar - add some space between the image and text, they’re touching at the moment (in FireFox).
3> Meta data under Titles - Do you or your audience need this? It feels a bit “bloggy” to me. All depends on what look/feel you’re going for. Same applies to the BlogRush widget.
Thanks for the feedback Lenzjo! I’ve actually been thinking about totally changing the theme and format of the site entirely. Instead of using categories for navigation, I’ll use Google Custom Search for navigation, and have a recent additions “post” on the main index. Also, to vary the experience, I’m going to use a Newsroom Music news feed to give another reason to come back to the site every week or so.
Hopefully having a two column theme will fix the image spacing issue.
The meta data under the titles is more of a default from the theme. I’m using the BlogRush for nonexistant traffic; when I switch to the new format, it will be gone.
