Switching from Blogger to Wordpress is Not an Event, It’s a Journey.

If you are reading this, you have noticed that Desty Online is no longer on blogspot! The switch started on Friday 6/15/07. For those of you who have little to no experience in coding or HTML, let me warn you ahead of time: YOU WILL FEEL LOST!
I knew when I started this that Wordpress is for the more advanced blogger with coding experience. The reason why is that with enough work you can sculpt your blog into exactly what you want it to look like. With that power comes responsibility, just like Spider-man; to create your custom blog you either have to be able to code or be willing to pay someone to do it for you.
I took on the challenge because I do have some coding background, although it has been a good 15 years or so since I wrote any type of code. So this entire process is a learning experience for me.
There are a great many changes in the immediate future of Desty Online. Don’t be surprised if the blog theme changes from minute to minute. It will be very bare bones for a while, but I will continue to talk about businesses and taking them online, along with investments, news, and entertainment should something interesting catch my eye.
Should anyone have any suggestions on themes or plugins, I would be most appreciative.

Your theme’s a good one, you might want to personalise the colours as loads of people will use this theme.

Thanks for the suggestions Chris. I’ve got several pages of blogs and sites archived for later to use in adding to the blog. I’m thinking of uploading the no-follow plugin this next weekend if I can find time to sit down and get into it.
