I’m a busy man.

Between the job, the businesses, and family, I’m surprised that I get 5 hours of sleep per night.  That’s why using the Google Reader to manage my RSS subscriptions is so handy.  I can log into my Google account from any computer, pull up my reader and scan a few articles when I have the time.  Be it when I’m running the anti virus scanner on my mother-in-law’s computer or making videos of the boys on my dad’s computer, Google’s RSS reader is just so convenient!

Yesterday while on the phone, I was scanning the Megit Doshdosh News feed to see what was floating around the ether.  I Starred (the way you can mark articles in Google Reader) these articles because they caught my eye.  It will be until tonight before I actually have time to read all of them, but I like to share:

Desty thanks for the link to that bad neigbhorhood link checker. I hadn’t see that blog before, either, so that is a bit of a bonus as well!

I just finished the article about using Warren Buffett’s investing style to buy domains. While they do use his tactics to bring their point across, I see the very act of buy domains as flawed from the start. Normally the buying of domains for profit comes from the flip; you buy and plan to sell later. During your holding phase, where is the income? There isn’t any mention of actually making use of the domain while it’s in your posession. Berkshire buys and holds; it’s during the holding they make money not when they sell. Capital gains may be in their plan down the road, but since they haven’t gotten there yet, we don’t know. Maybe it’s my lack of actual experience in the domain buying investment field, but I just don’t see it.

It was a good title Casey, a real eye catcher! I must after reading the article, however, smack your hands. An evil ploy indeed!
