Small Business eBay Sales of iPods Takes a Hit

It’s times like these, I’m glad that I’m out of the eBay iPod selling business.  With this new version of the iPod, no one will want to purchase an older iPod, unless it’s at rock bottom prices.

A similar thing happened at the first of the year when Apple came out with new versions of iPods along with iTunes new movie store, where you could buy major motion pictures and watch them on your iPod.  Prices for older iPods fell sharply.  Fortunately, I had gotten out of the iPod sales about 3 months earlier.

The small business takes a hit when major changes like this takes hold.  Existing inventories are no longer worth as much, since no one wants to buy an old iPod at retail prices.  They’ll either buy on sale or wait for the new generatoin to hit stores.
