Are you a To-Do List type person?
I normally don’t like to put pen to paper when it comes down to making “To-Do Lists” because it’s so depressing. Not just for what makes it onto the list, but the sheer size of the list and now huge some of the tasks are. Then I get into priorities. Anyhow, back on task…
Online Business To-Do List
- Update Desty Online Articles Page — I’ve let this slide for much too long. The page doesn’t see much traffic, but when it does, it needs to be up to date.
- Update Desty Online About Page — Needs a total overhaul. I’m setting up to have an experiment. I’m going to start trying to funnel all social, promotional, and marketing traffic into my About Me page (once updated) instead of my home page. The About Me page will have a general overview of the entire site, and try to direct readers towards pillar articles. The entire focus of the About Me page will be to make 1st time readers into subscribers via email or RSS subscription.
- Restart e-Bay Sales Company — While it was a great sinkhole for my time, it did bring in a nice profit. This time around, I already have a battle tested system in place, so all I need is a profitable product. Also, I plan to start experimenting with some alternate distribution methods; hopefully this will automate the process somewhat.
- Blog Promotion — Pillar content-wise and appearance-wise, I’m happy with the current state of Desty Online. While I’m always on the look-out for new ideas and plugins, I’m comfortable with how everything is going. There had been some suggestions to change the header picture, I really can’t find anything that represents what that picture does; if anyone can find one, send me an address. With that being said, I’m expanding my steps into my blog promotions. I’m looking at a few guest-writer stints at this time, and am in the middle of editing a submission right now.
- New Resources Page — This will be my version of how I make money online along with the various technical things that go on behind the scenes at Desty Online.
- PPC Affiliate Marketing — My 1st Affiliate Marketing Campaign is currently on permanent pause. Out of tens of thousands of showings, I got less than 50 clicks over a two week period, and zero conversion. I think this can be attributed to several reasons, but mainly product and my inexperience (probably the biggest factor). I’m going to put on hold my marketing for now, research some more, and try again.

My to-do list is my boss, without it I would be lost.
Rather then letting it get to overwhelming, try break it down into the next 5 most important tasks and then set a timed-goal to get the tasks done by.
I look forward to seeing your upcoming changes.
The problem I have is that I tend to argue with myself over what’s most important. While something might be super important, it also might be a huge task, so I’ll see another task, not as important, but easily done (time-wise) and go after that. The goal being to empty out the to-do list.
