There are thousands of blogs about how to make money online, be it with blogs, regular web sites, domain trading, or arbitrage. The majority gives either broad ideas, such as turning your site into either an ad post or an online retail shop, or they give minute details such as exactly what services to use.
Taking “Online” Out of the Equation
Step back a moment. Forget that you want to learn how to make money online. Forget that you want to learn how to make money period.
Question: what causes you to trade your cash for a product or service?
Answer: you have a need or desire.
It can be as simple as wanting to buy a hot dog because you are hungry and like hot dogs, or complex as wanting to purchase a study course on online marketing in hopes to add multiple income streams via an online business. If what you’re offering does not give value to the reader, then you won’t make money. Your ad has to get the reader interested enough to click that ad; normally ads are out of your control as to what the ad actually says. Your affiliate product / service needs to have a proper pre-sell to get the reader excited and want to make a purchase.
When it comes to making money online, you have three basic choices:
- 3rd Party advertising
- Sell products or services via affiliates
- A mixture of the two

I understand what you are trying to say about taking the ‘online’ part of out the equation! I’d add that people do search for online ways to make money, and even if your site simply shows different ways to make money (on and offline), keep that title somewhere on your site because that is what people search for.
Heh, do a search in Google, Yahoo! or MSN for make money online. With thousands of blogs out there about making money online, just think about how much competition there is for the key words make money online. Desty Online isn’t just about making money online. Businesses, business systems, and I guess meta-business (kida like business theory) are the main topics. We go into specifics from time to time, but we’re not here just about making money online.
