As you can tell, things have changed! I broke down and migrated from blogger to my own domain and server. 
I’m working with wordpress 2.2. I like the various themes, but I am haveing problems in that I can’t just grab some HTML code for a cool button or feature and throw it on my page anymore. Or, if its possible, I don’t know how to do it yet. If anyone knows of a good article out there on how to use wordpress, I’d appreicate it. The documentation that comes with wordpress reads like stereo instructions

You’ll be pleased to know it’s very easy.
In your dashboard, go to Presentation, then Widgets. Scroll down and you’ll see a box asking how many text widgets you want, select according to how many badges etc. you want to insert.
Then simply drag a text widget into your sidebar, paste the html into it and save the changes. You can re-arrange the whole sidebar thru drag & drop.
You can have many HTML buttons in the same text widget, just separate them with line breaks etc.

Its tips like these that bring me hope! I was about to break down and find a forum to start begging. I’m still not where I want to be, but atleast now its presentable
